Marvin White, Sr.

Marvin Eugene White, Sr., 73, of Oakland died on Friday, November 5, 2021, at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Born on May 23, 1948, in Oakland, he was the son of the late James Everett, Sr. and Minnie Louise (Harvey) White.

Marvin was a self-employed farmer and logger. In addition to farming and logging, he was a heavy equipment operator and had work for many years at the Wisp.

He is survived by his wife, Martha (McRobie) White; children, Margaret White of Oakland, Peggy Behan and wife Donna of Grafton, WV, Carl Shiflett, III and wife Kathy of Grafton, WV, and Marvin E. White, Jr. of Oakland; sixteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brother, James White, Jr. and wife Linda of Oakland; and a sister, Beverly Callis of Oakland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild.

Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, from 10 AM to 12 PM at which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor Dave Marsh officiating. MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED. Interment will follow in the Deer Park Cemetery.
