Martin Harvey

Martin Junior Harvey, 89, formerly of Keyser, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Dennett Road Manor.  Born on May 25, 1929 in Swanton, MD he is the son of the late Leroy S. and Prema (Martin) Harvey.  Junior proudly served in the United States Marine Corps.  He retired at age 65 after working for several years as a heavy equipment operator for G & S Coal Company.  Junior was a tireless worker and a good provider for his family.  He enjoyed spending time at home with his wife Helen.  Junior is survived by a daughter, Teresa Harvey White and husband James of Kitzmiller; two grandchildren, Jamie White and partner Jeremy Mundy of Eckert, MD and Elizabeth White and husband Brett Sanders of Frostburg; a brother, Joe Harvey and wife Mary of Oakland; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his parents, Junior was preceded in death by his bride of over 65 years, Helen Mary Harvey in 2016; and an infant sister, Shelby Jean Harvey.  In accordance with Junior’s wishes, he will be cremated and no services are planned at this time.  His remains will be interred in I.O.O.F.
