Martin Emroy Glotfelty, 62, of Oakland, died on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Garrett Memorial Hospital. Born on June 3, 1951 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Margaret (Haley) Glotfelty and the late Emroy Markwood Glotfelty. Martin was a man with a brilliant mind. He was a self-taught musician who played bass guitar in several bands throughout his life. He enjoyed listening to National Public Radio and old-time style radio shows. He was a fabulous cook who created amazing meals by using unusual food combinations and spices that were an absolute delight to his family. He was known to be a jack-of- all-trades and one who enjoyed tinkering with and building small electronics. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Christian Van Ford Glotfelty and wife Christina; two granddaughters; and a half- brother, Clarence Edward "Ed" Glotfelty and wife Janis of Dundalk, MD. Interment will be in the Flat Woods Cemetery, Accident, MD. Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A. is in charge of arrangements.
