Martha Dianne Monroe, 77, of Oakland died on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the Garrett Regional Medical Center in Oakland. Born on January 24, 1938 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Martha (Besedy) Duggan. She had attended the University of Pittsburgh was a realtor for many years prior to her retirement. She was an active member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Oakland and had also been a member of Resurrection Church in Brookline, PA. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, the Red Hat Society and the Senior Moments Club at St. Peter's, where she had also served as President of the Parish Council. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Dianne also enjoyed collecting antiques. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Donald E. Monroe; her children, Dave Monroe and wife Denise of Durham, CT, Donna Monroe of Trinity, FL, Deanne Monroe of Clearwater, FL, Donald Monroe of Dunedin, FL, Denise Garcia and husband Michael of Murriata, CA and Doreen Monroe of Vancouver, WA; grandchildren, Jonathan Monroe, Kyle Monroe, Silvio Rosati, Jr., Stefano Rosati, Sophia Rosati-Fubio and husband Michael, Rachelle Garcia, Michael Garcia, Matthew Garcia and Morgan Garcia; a great granddaughter, Aubrey; a brother, David Duggan of McHenry; cousin, Paul Duggan and wife Mary; and three nephews and two nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene Monroe. A memorial service will be held in St. Peter the Apostle Church, 208 S 4th St., Oakland on Saturday, February 6th, 2016 at 11 AM with Father Doug Kenney as celebrant. The C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., Oakland is assisting the family with arrangements.
