Martha Bolyard

Martha Ellen Bolyard, 94, of Aurora, WV passed away peacefully on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Oakland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 29, 1923 in Cumberland, MD a daughter of the late Charles Henry and Anna Beatrice Green Bolyard. She was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Edward Bolyard. She is survived by one sister, Bonnylin Lucille Lantz, Aurora, WV, five nieces and nephews, Patty (Ron) Winningham, Pam (Bill) Wainscott, Kirk (Anita) Lantz, Julie (Charlie) Adams, and Mark (Chris) Lantz, 14 great-nieces and great-nephews, and numerous great-great nieces and great-great-nephews.
Ms. Bolyard has taken on being head of a classroom in her Heavenly Home now. She taught at Aurora High School for 30 years and took pride in and loved all of her students. She was a graduate of West Virginia University. She was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, crocheting, and she was a big fan of all WVU Sports. She was a member of the Aurora Area Historical Society and a past member of the Eastern Star of Rowlesburg.

Friends will be received Wednesday, May 9 from 4 -8 PM at the Aurora Memorial Building. Funeral services will be held, 3:00 pm, Thursday, May 10, at Aurora United Methodist Church with Rev.
