Marjorie Gnegy

Marjorie Elizabeth Gnegy, 68, of Oakland went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 18, 1946 in Oakland, she was the daughter of the late Dwight Vernon and Helen Lorene (Timmerman) Clary. She was a graduate of Southern High School and, along with her husband, operated Success Floor Covering for many years. She was a member of the Crellin United Methodist Church. In addition to spending time with her husband and family, she enjoyed camping, gardening and being an active member of the Mt. Top Cruisers. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Robert L. Gnegy; children, Kevin Duane Gnegy and wife Tammy Kay and Valerie Anne Dilley and husband Steven Eugene, all of Oakland; grandchildren, Aaron Gnegy and wife Ashley, Bryant Gnegy and wife Amy, David Dilley and wife Jessica and Jacob Dilley; great-grandchildren, Kimberly Gnegy and Bentley Gnegy; brothers, Mike Clary and wife Barb of Oakland and Curt Clary and wife Cheryl of Friendsville; sisters, Janet Beane of Sebring, OH and Darlene Clary of Oakland; a sister in law, Diane Clary of Ft. Ashby, WV; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Evonne Gnegy and two brothers, Paul Clary and Ron Clary. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Tuesday, September 2nd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and at the Crellin United Methodist Church on Wednesday, September 3rd from 10 to 11 AM after which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor Barbara Rexroad officiating. Interment will follow in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
