Marie Reel

Marie Davis Reel, 86, of Kitzmiller and Oakland passed away, with her family by her side, on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home. Born on October 26, 1929 in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Thomas "Pop" and Anne "Nan" Coady. She was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Oakland and Immaculate Conception Church in Kitzmiller. Marie had served as a member of the Kitzmiller Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Davis Johnson and husband Tom of Oakland; a son, Robert Tom Davis and wife Lisa of Kitzmiller; five grandchildren, Alisa Davis Huffman and husband Derek, Ann Johnson Furr and husband Brent, Ashley Davis, Kristi Davis Fratz and husband Zach, and Robert Tommy Davis IV; two step grandchildren, Amber Johnson Robey and Avery Johnson Munoz; ten great grandchildren; two sisters, Carmel and Patsy and two brothers, Tommy and Eugene, all living in Newfoundland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Robert Davis in 1961 and Frank J. Reel in 1994; a daughter, Betty Ann Davis, in 1966; four brothers, William, Ron, Gerald and Paul; and five sisters, Audrey, Phyllis, Madeline, Helen and Stella. A funeral service will be held in the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Sunday, November 22nd at 2 PM with Rev. Dr. C. Scott Robinson officiating. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be sent to the Kitzmiller Volunteer Fire Department, 249 E.
