Marianna Naylor

Marianna G. Naylor, 86, of Canton, Georgia and formerly of Oakland died on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Brookdale at Riverstone Assisted Living. Born on December 12, 1928 in Marianna, PA, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Lee (Breedlove) Groves. She had worked as a bookkeeper for A. D. Naylor & Co. and later for Browning's Foodland. Marianna was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Oakland. In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoyed golfing at the Oakland Golf Club for many years. She is survived by two daughters, Karen Browning and husband Mac of Oakland and Pamela Biser and husband Frank of Canton; grandchildren, Laurie Sloan of Havelock, NC, Josh Browning of Loxahatchee, FL, Jeremy Biser of York, PA and Nathan Biser of Woodstock, GA; great grandchildren, Madison Sloan, Colton Sloan, Chani Biser, Ty Biser, Caitlin Biser, Nate Biser and Lacey Kay Biser; four sisters, Ilene Jacobs and Carolyn Powell of Oviedo, FL, Shirley Meehan of Leesburg, FL and Joyce Bell of Sarasota, FL; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Neal A. Sears and second husband, William Naylor; and siblings, Wanda Rabun, Thomas Junior Groves, Harold Groves, Lee Edward Groves and Joseph Groves. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Sunday, May 17th from 1 to 4 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, May 18th at 11 AM with Pastor Bobby Holcomb officiating. Interment will follow in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice at Crossroads Charitable Foundation, 10810 E 45th St., Suite 300, Tulsa, OK 74146 and they will direct donations to the team who cared for Marianna.
