Margery Joyce Marple, 83, of Elk Garden, WV, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 5, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 26, 1933 in Canton, MA, she was the daughter of Nathan T. and Mary Eva (Gates) Baker. She was a graduate of Dedham High School in MA. She graduated from Zion Bible Institute of Providence, RI, where she met and married the love of her life, Rev. Donald Edward Marple. They were married at Zion Bible Institute on June 1, 1954 and have been happily married for more than 62 years. In addition to loving and caring for her family, Midge also enjoyed playing the organ and she loved to read her bible. She memorized the entire book of Revelation. She also authored a book on that very subject. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Donald Marple; three children, Vickie Szabo and husband Stephen, Joyce McIntyre and husband Terry, and Donald E. Marple, Jr. and wife Patti; grandchildren, Cori Wiltrout and husband Kenny, Jason McIntyre and wife Tasha, Christopher Szabo and wife Sarah, Jordan McIntyre and wife Kendra, Donald R. Marple and wife Claire, Nathan Marple and girlfriend Abby; 11 great grandchildren; her sister Ruthie; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph, Earle and Donnie Baker; and a sister, Edna Siddons. Friends will be received at the Elk Garden Assembly of God on Wednesday, March 8th from 11 AM to 2 PM after which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor Joe Tichinel and Rev. Todd Marple. Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery, Elk Garden. Pallbearers will be Christopher Szabo, Jason McIntyre, Jordan McIntyre, Nathan Marple, Dave Schwinabart and David Keplinger.
