Margaret Genevive Sims, 86, of Kitzmiller died on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at the Oakland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Oakland. Born on October 24, 1926 in Tunnelton, WV, she was the daughter of the late George and Gladys (Lyons) Stewart. She was a member of the Elk Garden Assembly of God. She is survived by one son, Michael Sims and wife Kay of Falling Waters, WV; one brother, Bob Stewart of Kitzmiller; one granddaughter, Lisa Apel; one grandson, Jeff Sims; and seven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mervin L. Sims, in 1980; a brother, Harold Stewart; and a sister, Betty McCloud. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St., Kitzmiller on Thursday, May 2nd from 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, May 3rd at 10 AM with Rev. Lee Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in IOOF Cemetery, Elk Garden, WV.
