Margaret Louise King, 87, of Deer Park died Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at home surrounded by her family. She was born February 1, 1925 in Roanoke, VA the daughter of the late Charles T. and Grace M. (Handy) Brown. She retired 22 years ago from Consol Coal Co. Margaret was a member of the United Mine Workers Local #1289. Margaret enjoyed spending time knitting and bowling. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Richard E. King; two daughters, Brenda Humphrey of FL; Bonnie Wells of GA; a daughter-in law, Cindy Wells of La Plata; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchilren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Richard Wells in 2009. Friends will be received on Friday, April 27 from 6 to 8 PM at BURDOCK-FREDLOCK FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 21 North Second Street, Oakland where a funeral service will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, April 28 with the Rev. Randolf E. Richardson officiating. Interment will take place in Deer Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Hospice of Garrett County P.O. Box 271 Oakland, MD 21550.
