Margaret Jean Hanlin, 80, of Oakland died Friday, October 7, 2011 at Mon General Hospital of Morgantown, WV.
Margaret was born May 1, 1931 in Vindex, MD the daughter of the late Alston and Lucille (Davis) Stewart.
She worked at Cuppett Weeks Nursing Home for 17 years. She was a member of the Mountiantop Seventh-day Advantist Church. Margaret loved spending her tine reading and crocheting.
She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Hanlin, three daughters, Katherine Spiker and husband Raymond; Linda L. Bowman; Beverly Beitzel; seven grandchildren, Raymond R. Spiker, Jr.; Rebekah R. Spiker; Amanda K. Mayne; Curtis A. Bowman; Clifferd A. Bowman; Bradley Bowman; Chris Beitzel; twenty great grandchildren, Nathan Moats; Dalton Moats; Blayne Abernathy; John Mayne, Jr.; Aidan Mayne; Ashley Spiker; Jessica Spiker; Torey Moats; Alexis Spiker; Brandon Bowman; Curtis Bowman, Jr.; Chad Judy; Daylynn Bowman; Ashley Bowman; Brittany Judy; Stephen Stroble; Christopher Wheeler; Kaitlyn Alexander; Courtney Alexander; Carrie Ann Beitzel; two great great grandchildren, Jacob and Shaylie Bowman; six brothers, Leroy, Jerry, Robert, Russell, Wayne, Dave; and a sister, Shirley Kinser. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Carrie Beitzel; a great grandson, Wayne D. Wheeler; a great great granddaughter, Jessica A. Bowman; two brothers, Alston "Fid" Stewart; Darrell "Sam" Stewart; and a sister, Elnora Goodwin;.
Friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. 2nd St., Oakland, on Sunday, from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM. The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Monday, in the funeral home with Dr. J. Wayne Hancock officiating.
Interment will be in Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
