Margaret Lou Day, 67, formerly of Elk Garden and Keyser, WV, died on Friday, December 16, 2016, at the Goodwill Retirement Community in Grantsville, MD where she had resided for the last two years. Born on April 3, 1949 in Keyser, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth "Babe" and Bernadette (Droppleman) Hottle. Prior to her retirement, she was an elementary school teacher for the Mineral County, WV schools. Margaret loved spending time with her granddaughters, traveling with family and friends, and rocking on the front porch. She was a generous spirit, a loving daughter, sister and mother, and a loyal friend. Her loss will be felt near and far. She is survived by a daughter Crystal Hall and husband Brad of Chesterfield, MO; a son, Brandon Day and wife Jodi of Ridgeley, WV; two grandchildren, Sophie Hall and Hadley Day; three sisters, Jane Stewart, Rita Braithwaite and husband Bill and Tammy Gillaspie and husband Dave, all of Elk Garden, WV; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother in law, Donnie Stewart. Friends will be received at the C & S FREDLOCK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 710 Church St., Kitzmiller on Sunday, December 18th from 6 to 8 PM. A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 19th at 1:30 PM in the Kalbaugh Cemetery, Elk Garden, WV with Deacon Harold Bradley officiating.
