Margaret Brown

Margaret E. "Sissy" Brown, 94, formerly of Elk Garden and Keyser, WV died on Monday October 20, 2014 at the Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home. Born on January 22, 1920 in Emoryville, WV, she was the daughter of the late Thomas B. and Susan (Sayers) Shepard. Margaret was a homemaker and retired farmer who loved gardening and flowers. She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen L. Tasker and husband Jim of OH; three sons, Charles L. Brown and wife Lovell, Gilbert L. Brown both of Keyser and Roger L. Brown and wife Chasidy of Oakland; seven grandchildren, Glenda Liedel, Jimmy Dale Tasker, Wayne Tasker, Kathy Meekins, Charles Brown, Jr., Roger Lee Brown, Jr. and Michael Brown; nine great grandchildren, Lisa Eliopoulos, Dennis Tasker, Michael Tasker, Cameron Michael Brown, Matthew Liedel, Kristopher Meekins, Erick Tasker, Sarah Brown and Brittany Brown; one great-great grandchild, Isabelle Eliopoulos; and a sister, Beulah Paugh of Baltimore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert B. Brown, in 1994 and fourteen brothers and sisters. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St., Kitzmiller on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and Thursday from 1 to 2 PM after which time the funeral service will be held with Pastor Lee Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery, Elk Garden.
