Louise Sweitzer

Deer Park MD. Louise M. (Shaffer) Sweitzer 85, went to be with the Lord and "Duck" the love her life on Saturday, February 12th at her residence. Born June 13th, 1925, in Elk Garden WV, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Elsie (Barrick) Shaffer. Louise was a home maker and the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was proceeded in death by her husband David "Pap" Sweitzer, two sons John and James "Bubblegum" Sweitzer , Great Granddaughter Katelynn Blake Sweitzer, Son in-law Delmas W. Martin, four brothers, Johnny, Ward, Albert and Terrance Shaffer, three sisters, Kathryn Barger, Tootie Adams. Martha Henderson and Bessie Shaffer.

She is survived by three sons, David Sweitzer and wife Judy , Steve Sweitzer and wife Karen of Oakland MD., Randy Sweitzer and wife Chiquita of Cranesville, WV, two daughters, Elsie Tasker and Husband Cecil of Oakland, MD and Susan Martin of Gormania WV. Seventeen Grandchildren, two step Grandchildren, twenty nine Great Grandchildren and four step Great Grandchildren, three Great Great Grandchildren, and one step Great Great Grandchild.

Friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, PA, 21N Second Street Oakland MD on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 14th at 11am at the Church of the Nazarene, Oakland MD. with the Rev. Gloria Georg officiating. Interment will be in the Deer Park Cemetery, Deer Park MD.
