Louise M. Bell, 91 of Oakland, MD passed away on April 11, 2010 at her home, after a battle with cancer.
Born June 10, 1918 in Casselman, PA, she was the daughter of the late Otto Lorenzo Meyers and Dorothy May (Nedrow) Meyers. Louise was also preceded in death by her husband Ercil Buckner "Buck" Bell; an infant daughter, Shirley Louise Bell; three sisters, Fern G. Morole, Iona Jane Blosser, and an infant sister Betty June Meyers.
Louise was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, step-grandmother, great-grandmother, step great-grandmother and friend. She was loved by all who knew her.
Louise was a former brownie and girl scout leader in Morgantown, WV, and was a former member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Morgantown, WV, a former member of the Republican Women's Club of Oakland and a member of Divine Hope Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Bonita (Bonnie ) Paulette and husband Douglas Eugene Buckley of Oakland; one grandson, Todd J. Toothman of Oakland; one step-grandson, Jason Douglas and wife Kelly Lynn Buckley of Oakland; two step-granddaughters, Tracy Lynn & husband Stephen Scott Beaver of Casselberry, FL; and Laura Renee and husband James Woodrow Bailey of Severn, MD; two great-grandsons, Alexander Jeremy Toothman and Jacob Ryan Toothman of Oakland; one great-granddaughter, Madison J. Toothman of Oakland; two step great-granddaughters, Abby Lynn Buckley and Holly Deanne Buckley of Oakland; four step great-grandsons, Brandt Jordan Bailey and Caden James Bailey of Servern, MD, and Shane William Beaver and Brandon Douglas Beaver of Casselberry, FL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. Second St., Oakland, MD on Monday April 12, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
The funeral service will be conducted April 13, 2010 at 11 am at the Divine Hope Church, located in the former Loch Lynn Church of God building at 121 First Avenue, Loch Lynn, MD with Pastor Harmon (Mel) Menker officiating.
At her request, Louise's body will be cremated.
