Linda Sue Childs Lohr, 78, of Swanton, MD died on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at her home. Born on November 21, 1944, in Tunnelton, WV, she was the daughter of the late Guy Joseph Childs and Nellie Blanche (Reed) Childs.
She was a loving mother, wife, and homemaker. She was a delightful baker and cook who liked sharing her goodies. She was employed by Sterling Processing, Bausch and Lomb, a cook at Josie's Restaurant, and her last job was cleaning for Team One Auto Center.
She is survived by her son, Rev. Harland Lee Lohr wife Jody Fletcher Lohr of LaVale; a daughter, Lisa Ellifritz of Swanton; an adopted son, Eric Ellifritz of Swanton; one grandson, Daniel Lee Lohr of LaVale; one brother, James Child and wife Joyce of Ohio; two sisters, Dinah McGinnis Parker of Ohio and Bernice Plum of Blazer, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James H. Lohr; a daughter, Kathy Ann Childs; four sisters; and three brothers.
At her request, she will be cremated with no viewing. A graveside service will be held at a later date with her son, Pastor Harland L. Lohr, officiating. Her final resting place will be at the Alexander Lohr Cemetery beside her loving husband, Jim. She recommitted her life to Jesus in June of 2019 and her new residence is Heaven with her loved ones.
