Linda Carola

Linda Frances Carola, age 71, of Oakland, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Garrett Regional Medical Center.

Linda was born in Baltimore, MD on July 24, 1949 to the late Louis F. and Ruth V. (Hess)Yearick.

Linda was a graduate of Western High School in Baltimore.  She retired after 27 years of service working for the United States Government in various departments.  Her last position was with the Farmers Home Administration in the USDA.  Linda was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church where she was a eucharistic minister.  She participated in Catholic Daughters of America.  Linda was actively involved in the community and her family fondly remembers the time she spent volunteering with Southern Garrett High School Marching Band Boosters.  Linda loved to shop and enjoyed an annual trip to Williamsburg with "The Girls."  She was fond of seasonally decorating her home especially for the Christmas holiday.

Linda is survived by her husband of 53 years, Guy L. Carola; two sons, Andrew G. Carola of Waynesboro, PA,  Michael K. Carola and wife Kari of Forks, WA; a granddaughter, Emma Carola; one brother, Kenneth H Yearick and wife Cludia; nieces, Laura Brennan, Jennifer Childers and husband Mark.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at  2:00 PM at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with Fr. Tom Gills officiating.  Private interment will be held in Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
