Linda Gray Adams, 65, of Oakland died Friday, April 27, 2012 at home. Linda was born June 12, 1946 in Leonardtown, the daughter of the late Lester Dewey and Gwyndola Genevieve (Thompson) Gray. Linda was a retired civilian employee of the United States Air Force. She was a life-long member of Beta Sigma Phi, a member of the Civic Club, book club, gardening club, mahjong club and had a love of sewing and crafts. She is survived by her husband, CMSGT USAF Ret. Ronald C. Adams of Oakland; a son, Justin G. Adams of Fredericksburg, VA; a daughter, Erin A. Butka and husband Charles J. Butka, IV of King George, VA; seven grandchildren, CJ, Skyler, Marley, Allison, Addison, Ezra and Jacob; a brother, Lester D. Gray and wife Barbara of Nashville, TN; two sisters, Debra Franklin and husband Mike of Hyattsville and Janice Rybka and husband John of Waldorf; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Monday, April 30th at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland, MD. Additional visitation will be held at the Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Fredericksburg, VA on Wednesday, May 2nd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service and interment in Arlington National Cemetery will take place on a later date.
