Lila Killmeier

Lila Virginia Riley Killmeier, age 102, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Twin Lakes Health Care, Burlington, North Carolina.  She was born in Garrett County, MD to the late Luther and Rose Barnard Riley.  She started Hospice in Frederick, MD.  Lila lived in the Twin Lakes Community for over thirteen years and enjoyed working with hand crafts.

Lila is survived by her children, John and Shirley Killmeier of Graham, North Carolina, Larry and Linda Killmeier of Hanover, Virginia;  six grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Lila was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Killmeier; a son, Riley Killmeier; and seven siblings.

A private family graveside service will be held at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Oakland on Friday, January 8, 2020 with Rev. Dr. Matthew Paugh officiating.
