Leota Savage

Leota Belle Savage, 87, of Swanton died on Monday, March 23, 2015 at the Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home. Born on April 21, 1927 in Swanton, she was the daughter of the late Umber W. and Mary Ellen (O'Brien) Bray. She had retired after 28 years of service from the RCA television factory. In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoyed crocheting and tending to her flowers. She is survived by a son, Ronald Lee Savage and wife Rita of Swanton; four grandchildren, Misty Moon and husband Bernard, Heidi Harvey, Joseph T. Healy and wife Erica and Pamela L. Bolyard and husband James; eight great grandchildren, Mariah, Cody, Cheyenne, Grant, Wyatt, Madison, James and Jack; two brothers, Roger Bray and wife June of Oakland and Lonnie Bray of Rawlings; a sister, Helen Crummett and husband Paul of Warrenton, VA; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Robert Jackson Savage, in 1993; a daughter, Elizabeth "Libby" Healy; a son in law, Joseph T. Healy; a grandson in law, Michael Harvey; four brothers, Wells, Robert, Elwood and Gary Bray; and two sisters, Betty Wildesen and Gladys Winninger. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 11 AM in the Deer Park United Methodist Church with Pastor Barbara K. Rexroad officiating. Interment will be in the Deer Park Cemetery.
