Leona Rebecca Peterson, 83 of Oakland, MD died Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the Oakland Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Born March 2, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Bessie Insler. She was also preceded in death by her husband Jerome Peterson.
Surviving are two sons, Edward "Ed" W. Peterson and wife Julie of Oakland, MD, Martin Peterson and wife Stasha of Downington, PA; one daughter, Beth Peterson and husband Eddie Garcia of Coram, NY; four grandchildren, Charlie, Catherine, Joseph and Brian Peterson.
Mrs. Peterson will be cremated. A memorial service and interment of ashes will be held at a later date in New Jersey.
