Lena Shahan

Lena Grace Shahan, 90, of Bedford Heights, OH, formerly of Deer Park, MD, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 23, 2012.
Born January 2, 1922 in Deer Park, MD, she was the daughter of the late Lynn & Evelyn (Weimer) Browning. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Dale Shahan; sisters, Wilma McCrobie, Margaret Helbig; and a brother, Jerry Browning
Lena was a loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Lena had worked part time at the Green Thumb Senior Center in Deer Park. She moved to the Cleveland area several years after the passing of her husband to be closer to her family and spent many happy years working with her daughter providing daycare for family, friends and neighbors.
Surviving are a daughter, Evelyn Hall & husband Burton of Bedford Hts, Oh.; grandchildren, Gregory Peck, David Peck and wife Diane, Teressa Orlando and husband Jim, and Jeff Peck; great grandchildren, Josh, Tony, Mike, Chris, David, Jonas, Brittany, and Vicky; one great great grandchild, Nahla; and all of Grandma Lena's kids from daycare.
Family and friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland, MD, on Monday, February 27, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
A funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Barbara Rexrode officiating.
Interment will be in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
