Lawrence Raymond Moore, 89 of Kitzmiller, MD passed away Thursday, October 26, 2011 at Garrett County Memorial Hospital.
Born August 25, 1922 in Barton, MD. He was the son of the late Leonard & Ella Mae (Shimer) Moore. Lawrence was also preceded in death by his wife Earltine "Honey" (Wilson) Moore.
Lawrence was a veteran having served in the United States Navy in World War II. He was a retired coal miner.
Surviving are sons-John Moore & wife, Diane, Keyser and Lawrence Moore & wife, Gail, Elk Garden; daughters-Patsy Prevoort & husband, Lowell, Monroe, MI; Linda Donohue & husband, Gene, Hamburg, NY; Debra Gank & husband Thomas, Elk Garden and Janie Friend and husband, Carl, Mt. Lake Park; sister-Grace Humphrey, Cresaptown; fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Family & friends will be received Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St, Kitzmiller, MD from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Lee Robertson officiating.
Interment will be in the Kalbaugh Cemetery, Elk Garden, WV.
