Laurance Wakeman Wolfe, 78, of Redhouse, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at the Allegany Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cumberland. Born on December 23, 1936 in Redhouse, he was the son of the late Hervey Wakeman and Nellie D. (Wotring) Wolfe. He was the former co-owner and founder of El Lobo's Restaurant in Mountain Lake Park from 1975 to 1988 and was a member of the Church of the Brethren. He is survived by two sons, John H. Wolfe, Sr. of Redhouse and wife Kathy (Blados) and Adam C. Wolfe and wife Melissa (Reams) of Oakland; four grandchildren, Alicia M. (Wolfe) Metz and husband Mark of Mtn. Lake Park, Jennifer M. (Wolfe) Lambert and husband David of Aurora, WV, John H. Wolfe, Jr. and wife Tiffany (Stevens) and Travis Wolfe; and five great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Ellen (Welch) Wolfe, in 2001; a son, Laurance Bradford Wolfe; a grandson, Brian Bradford Wolfe; and a sister, Ruth Georgia (Wolfe) Kulak. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Tuesday, October 27th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th at 11 AM with Pastor Carl Fike officiating. Interment will follow in the Wolfe Cemetery, Redhouse.
