Laura June Wilt, 80, of Oakland, died on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Oakland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on June 8, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Chambers A. and Evelyn (Lantz) Spiker.
She was a member of the Underwood United Brethren Church and enjoyed time spent with her family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Richard Wilt and partner Lorie Foster, and Harold "Jeff" Wilt and wife Susan, both of Virginia; seven grandchildren, Shane Wilt, Zachary Wilt, Brittney Carter, Hannah Wilt and fiance Kody Chester, Heidi Wilt and partner Sam Moser, Sara Campos and husband Martin, and Julie Wilt and fiance Dr. Charles Goodwin; nine great grandchildren, Hailey, Forrest, Eric, Joanna, Landon, Levi, Lareina, Anthony, and Stella; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Anthony Richard "Dick" Wilt; two sisters, Virginia A. Hendricks and Beatrice R. Gnegy; and a brother, Harold Charles Spiker.
Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland, on Friday, October 6, 2023, from 5 to 7 PM. A funeral service will be held at the Underwood United Brethren Church, 941 Underwood Rd., Oakland, on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 11 AM with Pastor Marty Wilt officiating. Interment will follow in the Aurora Cemetery, Aurora, WV.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Garrett County, PO Box 271, Oakland, MD 21550.
