Lash Lloyd

Lash "Rocky" Larue Lloyd, Sr., 63, of Swanton died on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the R. Cowley Adams Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. Born on May 19, 1952 in Gorman, he was the son of the late William Leonard and Ruth Josephine (Lewis) Lloyd. He was known as a "jack of all trades" who loved fishing and minnows. He also enjoyed spending time with his sister and family and loved watching wrestling. Rocky will be fondly remembered as a storyteller and jokester. He is survived by his daughter, Roxana Tasker and husband Jake of Kitzmiller; three sons, Paul Lloyd and wife Penny of Morgantown, Junior Lloyd of Oakland and Ralph Lloyd of Garrett County; grandchildren, P.J. Lloyd, Destiny Lloyd, Clarissa Lloyd, Chase Elsey, Alisha Lloyd, Felisha Tasker, Lashly Helbig, Arial Elsey, Jazlyn Tasker, Garrett Lloyd, Makayla Lloyd, Brayann Lloyd, Shawn Lloyd and Kamdyn Green; one great grandchild soon to be born; one sister, Arbutus Lloyd of Oakland; brothers, Riley Lloyd of Oakland and Tex Lloyd of Swanton; his best friends, Tommy and Wayne True; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Pete and Bud Lloyd and an infant brother. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Sunday, November 1st from 1 to 4 PM after which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor Joe Tichinel officiating. According to his wishes, Rocky will be cremated after his service.
