Larry Edgar
March 3, 1961 — February 25, 2012
Larry Robert Edgar, 50, of Germantown died Saturday, February 25, 2012. He was born March 3, 1961 in Oakland, the son of the late Robert Nelson Edgar and Deloris E. (Warnick) Edgar of McHenry.
Larry had worked as a Private Investigator up until the birth of his daughter, Amanda, at which time he became a stay at home dad. Larry was a 1979 graduate of Northern High School and a 1984 graduate of the University of Maryland. He was a member of the Maryland Terrapin Club, as well as an avid Ravens and Northern Huskies fan.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Connie J. Schroyer, Ph. D. of Germantown; his daughter, Amanda Edgar at home; three sisters, Lois Anderson and husband Bill of McHenry, Tricha Paugh and husband Charles of Oakland, and Terry Kerere and husband Michael of Spencerville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, February 29 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. 2nd St., Oakland. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 1 at the Deep Creek Baptist Church, 19841 U.S. Route 219, Oakland, MD with Dr. Ben J. Lahay officiating. Interment will follow in the Grantsville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in memory of Larry to the Northern High School Athletics Department, 86 Pride Parkway, Accident, MD 21520.
