Larry Wayne Cooper, Sr., 65 of Romney, WV, and formerly Harman, WV, passed away May 17, 2015 at Winchester Medical Center.
He was born January 23, 1950 in Harman, WV a son of the late Burlin Forrest and Gail Dorsleen Hedrick Cooper. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Delores Beyer Cooper. He is also survived by 2 sons, Larry Wayne Cooper, Jr., Dover, PA, and Michael David Cooper, Hanover, PA, 1 daughter, Theresa (Donald) Michael, Hanover, PA, 1 brother, Wilmoth Cooper, Harman, WV, 2 sisters, Doreene Wilfong, Harman, WV, and Patricia Lane, Harman, WV, and 2 grandsons, Michael Forrest Cooper and Andrew Keene Cooper.
Mr. Cooper was a Veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a union representative for General Motors Local 239. He enjoyed hunting with his grandchildren, being outdoors, playing music, and spending time with his family.
Friends will be received Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 5-8 PM at the Harman Church of the Brethren. Funeral services will be held, 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the Harman Church of the Brethren with Rev. Kenneth Lake officiating. Interment will follow in the Cooper Cemetery. Hinkle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
