Larry Armbruster

Larry Francis Armbruster, 78, of Canaan Valley, WV passed away April 15, 2019 at Cortland Acres in Thomas, WV. He was born July 17, 1940 in Zanesville, OH a son of the late Frank and Jane Armbruster.

Mr. Armbruster is survived by his wife, Joan Greenfield Armbruster, whom he married on January 7, 1967. He is also survived by two sons, Edward (Angela) Armbruster, Barboursville, WV and John (Danielle) Armbruster, Colorado Springs, CO, one brother, Jeff (Laurel) Armbruster, Atlanta, GA, one sister, Becky Ford, Slidell, LA, four grandchildren, Natalie and Brett Armbruster, Barboursville, WV, Adyson and Audrey Armbruster, Colorado Springs, CO.

Mr. Armbruster was a graduate of the University of South Carolina. He worked for West Virginia Tech as a Civil Engineer Professor for 34 years. He volunteered for the ambulance services in both Fayette and Tucker County. He served on the Tucker County Ambulance Authority for 10 years and was the current president of the authority. He was a member of the Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church Congregation. He was an avid golfer and skier. He loved supporting youth activities in sports and music.

At the request of Mr. Armbruster, he will be cremated. Friends will be received at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home, of Davis, WV, Friday, April 19, from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. Saturday, April 20, at Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church, visitation hour from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, with a memorial service held at 2:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Peter Vial officiating. 450 Randolph ave.
