Kevin Callis

Kevin Callis, 69, of Oakland, passed away on August 26th, 2024, at Cortland Acres in Thomas, WV.Born on July 5, 1955, in Mt. Lake Park, he was the son of the late Carl L. and Nina E. (Bernard) Callis.

Kevin was a graduate of Southern Garrett High School. He was a past treasurer of the Garrett County Historical Society. He worked for and retired from A.D. Naylor's Hardware. His hobbies were restoring antiques and collecting post cards.

He is survived by two brothers, Donald (Eleanor) Callis and Bryan Frederick (Joni) Callis, all of Oakland, a sister-in-law, Margaret Sue Callis of Newport, TN; an aunt, Eloise Welling of Mt. Lake Park; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carl R "Dick" Callis.

Friends will be received on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 12 to 2 PM at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. Second St., Oakland. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM with Bob Rock officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
