Kenneth Peck

Kenneth Herbert Peck, 79, of Oakland went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 2, 2017, at Dennett Road Manor.  Born on May 20, 1938, in McHenry, he was the son of the late Arthur T. and Cora Ileta (Glotfelty) Peck.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a multi-craftsman for the former Westvaco Corporation, having retired after 38 years of service.  He was a member of the Calvary Tabernacle Church and the American Legion Post #208 in Accident.  In addition to spending time with his family, Ken enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and reading western novels.  He was a good neighbor and friend who will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his family and friends.  He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Barbara Ann (DeWitt) Peck; two daughters, Michelle Bosley and husband Bruce of Deer Park and Kendra Berry and husband Michael of Accident; one grandson, Connor Bosley; sisters, Dorothy Carr of Friendsville, Mary Jane Spear and husband Bill, and Cindy Greely and husband Roger, both of Bolivia, NC; a brother, Robert Peck and wife Carole of Swanton; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received at the C & S FREDLOCK FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Thursday, July 6th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.  A funeral service will be held in the Calvary Tabernacle Church, 27893 Garrett Hwy., Accident on Friday, July 7th at 10 AM with Rev. Pascal Crites officiating.  Interment will follow in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to GRMC Cancer Center, 251 N 4th St., Oakland, MD 21550; Hospice of Garrett County, PO Box 271, Oakland, MD 21550 or Cindy's Fund, PO Box 182, Oakland, MD 21550.
