Katherine Zabriskie

Katherine Elizabeth Zabriskie, 69 of Davis, WV, died Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Cortland Acres Nursing Home in Thomas, WV.

Born January 19, 1941 in Lansing, Michigan, she was the daughter of William A. Zabriskie and the late Katherine (Baldwin) Zabriskie.

Mrs. Zabriskie retired from IBM as a Systems Architect. She was a graduate of the University of Michigan and earned her graduate degree from the American University. She was a member and Jr. Warden of St. John's Episcopal Church; 26 yr. member of the Sports Car Club of America, Washington, DC Region; the Tucker County Volunteer EMT Fire Dept.; the Canaan Valley Women's Club of Davis, WV; the Timberline Home Owners Association; the Tucker Community Foundation; the Amateur Operators of the American Radio Relay League.

Surviving in addition to her father William A. Zabriskie of Eden Center, Kalkaska, MI are her brother, William F. Zabriskie and wife Irene of Caledonia, Michigan; 2 nieces, 2 nephews; several great nieces and nephews.

At Mrs. Zabriskie's request, her body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2010 at St. John's Episcopal Church, 5234 Maryland Hwy, Deer Park MD with the Rev. Dr. Chip Lee officiating.
