Karen Sue Findley, 60, died on Friday, November 29, 2013 at her home in Elk Garden, WV. Born on September 17, 1953 in Rockingham County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Rosa Elizabeth Combs. Karen was a graduate of Union High School in Mt. Storm, WV. She enjoyed spending time outdoors with friends and family riding motorcycles and ATVs. Karen is survived by her husband of 41 years, James T. Findley Sr.; two children, James T. Findley Jr. and wife Diane of Clendenin, WV, Angela S. Findley and fiancAC. Larry Porter of Elk Garden, WV; siblings, Harold C. Funkhouser of Elk Garden, WV, Woodrow W. Funkhouser Jr. and wife Margaret of Baker, WV and Violet Kitzmiller of Mt. Storm and several nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gene L. Funkhouser. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Sunday, December 1st from 2-4 PM. Per Karen's wishes, she will be cremated.
