Julia Tressler

Julia B. Tressler, 91, of Eglon, WV, died on Friday, April 14, 2017, at the home of her dear friends, Wanda and Bob Evans. Born on March 11, 1926 in Conway, PA, she was the daughter of the late Stoyan and Mary (Saus) Brkovich. She was raised in the Catholic faith. Julia worked in food service as both a manager and cook having been employed by Isaly's in Pennsylvania as well as the Alpine Restaurant and Hopemont Hospital in Terra Alta, WV. She is survived by friends and caregivers, Wanda and Bob Evans; a brother in law, Michael Stuban; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Tressler, in 2004; brothers, Charles and George Brkovich; and sisters, Ann Genevie, Mary Draganza, Helen Brkovich, Rose Felger and Mildred Stuban. Friends will be received at the C & S FREDLOCK FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Monday, April 17th from 12 to 2 PM after which time a funeral service will be held with Rev. Don Matthews officiating. Interment will follow in the Texas Cemetery, Horse Shoe Run, WV. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Amedisys Hospice, 5006 Mid Atlantic Dr., Morgantown, WV 26508.
