Judy Stemple

Judy M. Stemple, 61, passed away on June 3rd, 2021, in Elkins, WV.  She was born in Oakland, MD on July 27th 1959, to the late Bobby Leroy Harsh and surviving Carolyn Harsh.

Judy graduated from East Preston High School.  For 15 years, she and her husband volunteered together as fire fighters at the Mt. Grove VFD.  She worked as a cook at Silver Lake and was also a nurse’s aide at Cuppitt & Weeks.  She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles and baking, especially her famous cookies. She studied the Bible extensively taking notes on a daily basis. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Rodney Blaine Stemple, whom she married on August 27th 1977.  Also surviving are two sons, Rodney Allan Stemple and wife Christie of Eglon, WV, and Randy Blaine Stemple and Fiancé Samantha of Terra Alta, WV; a brother, Robert Steven Harsh and wife Tina of Eglon, WV; two sisters, Sue Ellen Saunders and husband Mike of Oakland, MD, and Diane Mae Wolfe and husband Harlin of Horseshoe Run, WV; eight grandchildren, Brett Crews and wife Whitney,  Cory Stemple, Cody Stemple, Xavier Sypolt, KJ Sypolt, Brooklyn Sypolt and Joseph Stemple; one great-grandchild, Michael Crews and one angel on the way.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, William Scott Harsh.

Friends will be received Sunday, June 6th, 2021, at Maple Grove Assembly of God Church from 11:00AM-1:00PM.  A funeral service will be held at 1:00PM with Rev. Ryan Miller officiating.  Interment will follow in the Accident Cemetery.  The Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home is honored to be of service to the Stemple family.
