Judy Marlene Gober, 72, of Oakland and New Port Richey, FL and formerly of Ellerslie, died on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Garrett Regional Medical Center. Born on September 21, 1943 in Rockwood, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Ruth (King) Trimpey. She grew up attending the Old Bethel Church of God in Rockwood and then was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Ellerslie, where she and her family lived for many years. She had worked for the S. Schwab Co. in Cumberland and later worked for Sears as a sales associate in LaVale and in Florida prior to retiring after 17 years of service. Judy loved to sew and garden, but especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a phenomenal cook and as having a sweet soul. Judy was always positive and spoke well of others. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, George F. Gober, Jr.; three children, Lisa Gober Jones and husband George, Marsha Disbro and husband Andy and George Thomas Gober, all of New Port Richey, FL; grandchildren, Amanda Jones, Bethany Jones, Trevor Jones, Madison Disbro, George T. Gober, II and Justin Michael Gober; great grandchildren, Lincoln Friend, Quintin Friend and Zoe Sisler; a sister, Lois Baker and husband Donald of Rockwood; two brothers, Richard and Daniel Trimpey, both of Rockwood; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred King and Carol Trimpey; and two brothers, Ralph Trimpey, Jr. and James Trimpey. A funeral service will be held in the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Saturday, April 2nd at 12 PM with Pastor Ken Korns officiating. Friends will be received for two hours prior to the service.
