Joyce Lewis

Joyce Lee Lewis, 65, of Mt. Lake Park, died on Monday, September 24, 2018, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Born on March 7, 1953, in Vindex, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Pansy (Weimer) Kent. She had worked as a nursing assistant for Dennett Road Manor and the former Cuppett and Weeks nursing homes and had also worked in housekeeping for the Garrett County Health Dept. She had attended the Walnut Bottom Assembly of God in Swanton. In addition to spending time with her family, Joyce enjoyed reading her bible and watching television. She is survived by four sons, Dwight Ernest Lewis and wife Samantha of Elk Garden; Theodore Lewis of Oakland; Terry Alvin Lewis, Jr. and companion Patty Madigan of Swanton; Steven Monroe Lewis of Swanton; one grandson, Adam Allen Waylon Lewis of Elk Garden; brothers and sisters, Emory "Buster" Kent of Bayard; Harold Pennington and wife Catherine of Cresaptown; Eva Ellifritz of Oakland;Edward "Bill" Kent of Oakland; Margaret Willard of Glassport, PA; Ernest Ray Kent and wife Delores of Tampa, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Walnut Bottom Assembly of God Church, 1014 Walnut Bottom Rd., Swanton on Thursday, September 27th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held in the Walnut Bottom Assembly of God Church, on Friday, September 28th at 11 AM with Pastors George H. Tichinel and Joe Tichinel officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A.
