Josie Meadows

Josie Mae (Lipscomb) Meadows, 71 of Aurora WV, passed away Monday, October 25, 2010 at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Born September 7, 1939 in Erwin, WV, she was the daughter of the late Guy R. and Elda (Moats) Lipscomb. Josie was also preceded in death by her son, Johnny Pierce, Jr. and sister, Patty Pierce.
Josie was a homemaker.
Surviving are: husband, George Meadows; sons, George Meadows, Jr, Slanesville, WV, Clem Meadows, Winchester, VA, daughters, Brenda Campbell, Slanesville, WV, Patsy McFarlane, Oklahoma; brothers, Guy C. Lipscomb, Eglon WV, Robert Lipscomb, Shenandoah Junction, WV: sisters, Wanda Bean and Lora Evans, both of Bunker Hill, WV, Carol Ashley and Lillie Heflin, both of Winchester, VA; twelve grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. 2nd Street, Oakland, MD, Thursday, October 28, 2010, from 2 to 4 and 6-8 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m., Friday, October 29, 2010 at Fresh Fire Church of God, 2148 George Washington Highway, Oakland, MD, with Rev. Tom McGinnis officiating.
Interment will be in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Tucker County
