Josie McDaniel

Josie E. (Lipscomb) McDaniel, 95, of Aurora, WV, died on Monday, August 6, 2012 at home. Born on December 16, 1916, in Hazelwood, WV, she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Emma (Day) Lipscomb. She worked with Westinghouse manufacturing circuit boards for aerospace technology having retired with 25 years of service. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, and making Raggedy Ann dolls. She enjoyed roosters and owls and recently lost her dear cat, Rusty. She is survived by a daughter, Ellen Elmo of Aurora; two great granddaughters, Autumn Nash and Angel Nash, both of Pasadena; a sister, Mary Weiman of Arbutus; a special nephew, Donald E. Lipscomb of Aurora; and a number of other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Doris Snyder. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Thursday, August 9th from 9 to 10 AM at which time a funeral service will be held with Rev. Barbara Rexroad officiating. Private interment will take place in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
