Josiah Friend

Josiah Adam Friend, 19, of Accident, formerly of Westernport and Loch Lynn, died on Sunday, July 30, 2017, at his home.  Born on May 18, 1998, in Oakland, he was the son of Jerry B. and Jo Ann (Beckman) Friend of Accident.  He was a graduate of Southern High School and attended welding school.  He worked as an equipment assembly mechanic for Manor Home Center.  Above all things, Josiah loved the Lord; was a member of Brookside Church of the Brethren in Aurora, WV, enjoyed reading the Bible and carried his New Testament with him.  He also loved making people laugh, MOPAR cars, working on tractors, and spending time with his family and his many, many friends.  In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Joleen Diehl and significant other Lois Dever of Hartmansville, WV; a brother, Jamie Friend of Accident; a nephew, John "JD" Diehl, III; a number of aunts, uncles and cousins; special friends, Austin and Kaemon Loewy, Sarah Spaid, and Julius and Cheree Yutzy; and his loving and faithful dog, Peaches.  Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Wednesday, August 2nd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.  A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, August 3rd at 11 AM with Pastor Mark Teets officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Josiah's family.  www.csfredlockfh.com
