Joshua Park

May 1, 1993 — January 4, 2021

Oakland

Joshua Edward Park, 27, of Oakland died on Monday, January 4, 2021. Born on May 1, 1993, in Oakland, he was the son of Lisa (Schmidt) Riley and husband Will and Jason Edward Park and wife Joyce, all of Oakland.
Josh was a 2011 graduate of Southern Garrett High School. He worked as a truck driver for Rigidply Rafters.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his dad and pap, and spending time at the family cabin in Salt Lick.  With both family and friends, he loved to ride his buggy and sit around the campfire.  He had a great appreciation for nature and the outdoors, and a true fondness for animals.  He enjoyed gardening, tending to his chicken coop, and caring for his dog Zeke.  He will be remembered for his kind nature, quick wit, and calm, laid-back, steady presence.  He was at ease around children, slow to judge others, and loyal to those closest to him.  He was funny, witty and could always have someone laughing. Josh enjoyed music of all genres and had a strong love for his country.  He will be forever loved, fondly remembered, and profoundly missed by those who truly knew him.
In addition to his parents and step-parents, Josh is survived by grandparents, Jim Schmidt, Diana Arnett, Ed Park and Sandy Park; loving girlfriend, Carrie Ashby and her daughter, Aleeah Pratt; aunts and uncles, Wendy Craver, Brandi Arnett, John Groves and Mark Park; step-sister, Kayla Lowdermilk; step-brother, Luke Riley; and numerous cousins.
A private graveside service was held with family and close friends in Pine Grove Cemetery, Terra Alta, WV.
Memorial donations may be made to the Garrett County Humane Society.
The C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., Oakland is honored to be caring for Josh's family.
