Joseph Dowd

Joseph Richards Dowd, 52, of Davis, died on Sunday, January 10, 2021, at his home. Born on August 21, 1968, in Chicago, IL, he was the son of Kenneth Dowd, Sr. of St. John, IN and the late Rita (Jacison) Gaspers. He worked in construction and enjoyed anything mechanical. He was know to help people out by fixing various things for them. He enjoyed NASCAR, riding his Harley and going to concerts. He liked to have a good time and really enjoyed hanging out with friends, but especially his brother, David. In addition to his father, he is survived by three children, Andrew Dowd of IN, Tara Dowd and Sean Dowd, both of IL; two grandchildren, Hope Dowd and Sean Dowd, Jr.; brothers, Ken Dowd, Jr. of WV, David Dowd and wife Michelle of WV, and Brian Dowd of IL; Tara and Sean's mom, Lynn Mahoney Dowd; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Friends will be received at the Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home on Saturday, January 16, 2021, from 4:30 to 6:30 PM after which time a funeral service will be held with Fr. Timothy Grassi officiating. Face masks and social distancing are required and we ask that if you or a family member are feeling ill, that you stay home and visit with the family at a later time.
