John Lee Paugh, 70, of Kitzmiller died on Sunday, March 5, 2017, at his home. Born November 16, 1946 in Keyser, WV, he was the son of the late Winter C. and Christine (McVicker) Paugh. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Vietnam War. He retired from the former Westvaco Corporation as an inspector, working many different shifts over the years. He was a hard worker who did enjoy taking a break at the race track from time to time. He also enjoyed spending his time in the peacefulness of nature, hunting and fishing. He will be remembered as a peaceful and quiet man. He is survived by three daughters, Maria Diane Paugh of Winchester, VA, Khristine Lynn Frazee of Oakland and Susan Lucas of Kitzmiller; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Goldie Diane Paugh, in December of 2015; a son, David Lee Paugh; and his siblings. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. A memorial service will be held at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St., Kitzmiller on Sunday, March 12th at 2 PM with Pastor Barbara Rexroad officiating. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service. Military honors will be accorded by the combined honor guard of the American Legion Post #71 and the Deer Park VFW Post #10077.
