John Mayne

John Ellsworth Mayne, 84, of Oakland died on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Born on February 26, 1932 in Rowlesburg, WV, he was the son of the late William Walter and Clara E. (Patterson) Mayne. He was a graduate of Preston High School and had worked for Sterling Processing in Oakland and in custodial services for both the Wisp and Will O' the Wisp. In addition to spending time with his family, John enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and watching football, especially the Cleveland Browns. He is survived by his children, Rayetta Riggleman and husband Jamie of Oakland, John W. Mayne and wife Amanda of Mtn. Lake Park, Wayne Mayne and wife Jen of Bloomington, David Mayne and wife Shondel of Oakland, and Joe Ridenour and wife Melissa of Oakland; fourteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Mayne; and a sister, Annie Mayne. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Luther, Harvey, James, Walter, Archie and Melvin Mayne, Mary Fisher, Margerite Parrish and Dorothy Westley. Friends will be received at the C & S FREDLOCK FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Sunday, February 26th from 1 to 3 PM after which time funeral service will be held with Pastor Shawn Bittinger officiating.
