John Robert Kellam, 67 of Swanton, MD and formerly of Mt. Lebanon, PA, died Sunday, May 2, 2010 at his residence.
Born October 25, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Frank G. and Eleanor (Hackenburg) Kellam.
John retired from PPG as a Strategic Planner. He had graduated college from the Miami University of Ohio where he also received his Masters degree. He was a member of Faith Evangelical Church where he served as an Elder, and served on the Board of Directors for Garrett County Habitat for Humanity.
Surviving are his wife, Susan (Manning) Kellam; two sons, Stephen John Kellam and Andrew Manning Kellam, both of Roanoke, VA; two daughters, Jennifer Ann Kellam of Pittsburgh, Katherine Teresa Kellam of Manassas, VA; one brother, James Russell Kellam of Sandusky, OH; and his pride and joy, his grandchildren Joshua, Ben, Bethany, Susannah, Elliot, Charlotte, Liesl and Zachary.
The family will receive friends at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, 21 N. Second St., Oakland, MD on Thursday, May 6, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 7, 2010 at the Faith Evangelical Church, Rt. 135, Oakland, MD with Rev. Jeff Kroll officiating. The interment will be held privately in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery on Saturday.
