John Foster, Sr.

John P. "Pat" Foster, Sr., 64, of Oakland, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at his home.  Pat was born February 9, 1955, in Brooklyn, New York to John and Catherine Foster. He was the first son born, joining his older sister and later 4 brothers and 2 more sisters. He was an accomplished iron worker, owning his own business for many years then passing his legacy onto his sons.  Pat married Virginia “Honey” Gray on July 16, 1977 and together they had 4 children, Kelly Lynn, John Patrick (Julie), Jason Paul (Taris) and Kristie Marie. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and Honey.  Pat shared the last 10 years of his life with his devoted partner, Doris (Dee) Choate. They continued to own and operate Pawn Run Saloon until his passing.  Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 from 10-12 PM at which time a funeral service will be held. Interment will immediately follow in Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
