John Blair Davis, 75, of Canaan Valley, West Virginia passed away January 9, 2020 at Valentines Personal Care Home in Elkins, West Virginia. He was born April 21, 1944 in Shinnston, West Virginia a son of the late Blair Judson Davis and Nancy Virginia Smith.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 2001, Frankie Jo Cashdollar whom he married in 1986.
He is survived by two sons, John Michael Davis and wife, Anissa of Roanoke, Virginia and Scott Patrick Davis and wife Brenda, of Lost Creek, West Virginia, one daughter, Nancy Ellen Rohrer and husband John of Clarksburg, West Virginia, one grandson, Jacob Michael Rohrer of Clarksburg, West Virginia, two close, personal friends, James and Karen White, and his furry companion, Bo.
Mr. Davis served his country in the United States Navy. He was a high school graduate of Shinnston High School. He had a lifelong career and retired from Dominion Gas as a supervisor. His hobbies including hunting, fishing, walking, camping, and spending time at the gun range. He was an avid West Virginia Mountaineer Fan. His favorite pastime was to sit on his porch at his home in Canaan Valley watching the sunrises and sunsets.
The family would like to thank the Tucker County Ambulance Service and Valentine's Personal Care Home for their wonderful care.
Friends will be received at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home, Monday, January 13, 2020 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted following the visitation at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in the Davis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation in memory of John. Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
