John Culp

John Franklin Culp, 59, of Mtn. Lake Park, passed away on July 26, 2022. He was born in Oakland on August 7, 1962, to the late Lester and Ruby (Harvey) Culp.

John earned a Master's Degree in Accounting and became a self-employed CPA. John was a member of the Oakland Golf Club where he enjoyed playing and spending time with his many good friends. No matter what John was doing, he provided help to anyone in need.

He is survived by his wife, Roberta A. Swank; step son, Eric Swank and partner Tiffany Schur; a granddaughter, Jordan Swank; a grandson, Jacob Johnson; a brother, Charles Culp; two nephews, Jeff Hinebaugh and Vence Culp; two nieces, Erica Frazee and Jenna Knapp; great friends, Mac Browning, Josh Browning and Richann Rodeheaver; and numerous extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Culp; one sister, Shirley Ann Hinebaugh Severe; and nephew, Charles Culp.

John's request to cremated has been honored. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A. 21 North Second Steet, Oakland on Thursday, September 8, 2022, from 5 to 7 PM. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home at 7 PM with Pastor Carl Fike officiating.
