Joetta Watkins

Joetta Watkins, 67, of Gormania, WV, died on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown. Born on March 2, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Dora Bell (Armentrout) Curry.
Joetta was a cook who cooked in and owned several restaurants, including The Old Mill in Gorman. In addition to cooking and baking, she truly loved spending time with her grandkids.
She is survived by her children, Paul Watkins of Gormania, Pennie Hanlin and husband Jeff of Bayard, Danny Watkins and companion Colleene Jones of Oakland, Michael Watkins of Gormania, and Shenandoah Snyder and wife Karrie of Elk Garden; grandchildren, Cody Hanlin and wife Katie, Alanna Hanlin, Aleigha Hanlin, Payton Watkins, Wade Snyder, Anna Snyder, Aaron Snyder and Ryan Snyder; great grandchild, Aydan Hanlin; siblings, Melvin Curry and wife Kathy of Oakland, Ricky Curry and wife Lila of Gormania, Vonda Fultz and husband Mike of Bayard, Bobbie Curry and companion Junior of Bayard, and Louann Kitzmiller and companion David of Gormania; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Watkins. 
Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Monday, December 18, 2023, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 11 AM. Interment will follow in the Bayard Cemetery.
